Building a guitar starts with a good cup of coffee. Or tea depending. And during that coffee people talk about guitars and music. What music do you play? What is your dream guitar? Which guitar sound appeals to you the most? Which types of wood do you want, which parts? Many questions that ultimately produce a package of wishes and requirements.

With all wishes and requirements in mind, I will work with a pencil and a drawing pad. Sketches and drawings are made the old-fashioned way. Looking for the perfect line, the appealing shape and the most suitable colour. All designs are discussed in consultation with the client. Input from the client is also of great importance at this point. The guitar must ultimately become an extension that tells the musical story. A guitar must match the person who plays it.
